Berthel Fisher & Company donates $100,000 plus to Cedar Rapids Flood Relief

Marion, Iowa – June 30th 2008 – A local financial services firm has answered the call for help from victims of the 2008 Cedar Rapids area flood. In an effort to assist those in need, Berthel Fisher & Company Financial Services, Inc. has partnered with the Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation (GCRCF) to develop the Berthel Fisher 2008 Flood Relief Fund.
As a prominent member of the greater Cedar Rapids area since 1985, Berthel Fisher & Company seeded the flood relief fund with an initial donation of $100,000. And that’s just the beginning. “We’ve received an overwhelming number of phone calls from many of our 350 Reps located across the United States, wanting to help.” said Thomas J. Berthel, CEO and President of Berthel Fisher & Company. “It is our hope that starting the fund is only the beginning of our efforts in aiding our community in the recovery from this catastrophic event. We are extremely proud of the outpouring from the people of Berthel Fisher, but are not surprised as these people make us who we are – family.”
